-Before attempting entry, the parties involved opened the power boxes to the two A/C units on the north side to turn off the electricity

-Entry was achieved through the rear of the house by kicking in the garage door (despite two locks)

-The force was such that the rear door jamb (on the inside of the house) was actually broken off

-Close-up view of deadbolt and broken jamb area on garage door entry

-Once in the garage, they kicked in the door between the garage and the kitchen (also with two locks)

-As with the first door, they broke the door jamb around the kitchen entryway, knocking off the jamb's molding

-Detail photo showing a shattered piece of the kitchen door jamb and deadbolt face plate laying on the floor by the kitchen entryway door

-Whatever object was used to hit the door actually bent-in the doorknob on the kitchen entryway door

-The force was sufficient enough to jar loose the deadbolt within the door's housing (and BEND the deadbolt itself!)

-To the immediate left, once entering the kitchen area from the garage, they went into the utilityroom and caused this damage to get copper tubing

-I speculate they kicked in the hole to the right, found no tubing there, then opened the holes/damage to the sheetrock on the left to get tubing

-View of the shattered remains of the sheetrock all over the utilityroom and pantry floor

-In their haste and with the force they used, they tore the sheetrock apart (breaking the electrical outlet faceplate) in the utilityroom

-They did not cut the tubing on the exterior of the house.  You can see, here, where they clipped it on the inside wall of the utilityroom

-They made gaping holes to quickly pull out the copper tubing

-Oddly, they didn't remove ALL the tubing in the house (I believe the neighbor interrupted the robbery in progress).  This piece dangles down from the ceiling of the utilityroom's pantry closet.  You can see where they ripped through the ceiling (the light wouldn't come on after the robbery).

-They made holes and damaged sheetrock in the pantry closet, as well

-Detail of damaged sheetrock in pantry closet

-I believe this was done in a hurry, as evidenced by them simply knocking off shelving in the pantry closet (and several other signs in the house)

-Angle showing where they knocked off shelving and took items on the shelving before exiting

-Holes they made in the sheetrock of the utilityroom's pantry closet

-Mess on the pantry closet floor following the break-in

-The neighbor saw them handing things out of the garage (they had pulled the release on the garage door, probably so they could close it from the outside when leaving).  They ransacked all sorts of things in the garage before leaving, such as taking all the hardware stored in this cabinet (found in this manner...with all the bins pulled open)

-They yanked open this computer cabinet, pulled out all the boxes inside of it, and just left the mess on the garage floor

-View of some of the mess left on the utilityroom floor

-Again, oddly, they stole every vacuum in the house, including the little mini-vac on the utilityroom wall

-They yanked down the ladder to the attic, somehow breaking it so it can't be pushed back up.  It was left, like this, with it just hanging down in the garage.

-This mysterious button was on the kitchen floor.  We don't know if it is from clothing they took or came from one of their own outfits.

-They ransacked belongings on the shelf in the master bedroom closet, taking some items, and entered another part of the attic through the door they left open.

-They had to go upstairs to try to remove the copper tubing from the upstairs unit.  You can see they put aside the bleach (used to keep the drainage pipes clean), apparently used a crowbar to pull off the return duct vent cover (bending it in the process and poking a hole in the wall), and accessed the tubing in this manner.

-Detail view shows the bent cover for the return

-On the upstairs unit, they pulled out both drainage systems (breaking one from the drain pan), yanked out wires, etc.

-Why in the world they broke off the drainage systems I don't know.  As you can see, the copper tubing was cut ABOVE the PVC pipes!

-The damage they caused left liquid stains

-They cut or simply yanked out wires (such as the low voltage wire that is used for the regulator, wires to the humidifier, etc.)

-This picture shows there was more than one person working at a time in one room.  The cowboy hat you see, here, is one of two that was in the bedroom I was in to take this photo (in a closet in the corner).  They took one hat and left this "toy" one.  They also stole a 180-piece home tool set from that closet.  The Filtrete filter and bleach were both taken out of the A/C closet (you can see the cover they yanked off the return air area), but someone opened the closet door by the hat and stole the Oreck XL vacuum in the closet.  Also, the master bedroom closet (down the hallway and around a corner beyond the railing seen in this photo) was ransacked.
